If your Walmart Visa Gift Card ("the Card") was purchased before April 1st, 2013, simply present it to the merchant, select the "credit" payment option and sign the sale receipt. If your Card was purchased after April 1st, 2013, you may still use the "credit" payment option, or you may select the "debit" payment option and use the last 4 digits of your Card as your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Use your Walmart Visa Gift Card everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted in the fifty (50) states of the United States and the District of Columbia, excluding Puerto Rico and the other United States territories. The Card may not be used at any merchant, including Internet and mail or telephone order merchants, outside of the United States or the District of Columbia. The Card may not be accepted at merchants that require manual Card imprints.
You must register your Card at www.walmartgift.com. This protects you if your Card is lost or stolen. In addition, your Card must be registered if you wish to shop online, by mail, or by phone. Most merchants require address information. Your Card number and 3-digit security code are required to register.
Write down your Card number and the Customer Service number on a separate piece of paper in case your Card is lost, stolen, or destroyed.
Your Card is automatically activated when it is purchased.
Please look at the back of your Card to determine the issuing bank.
Gift Cards issued by Green Dot Bank and Sunrise Banks, N.A. are not available for sale in New Hampshire or Vermont. Residents of these states will not be able to register the Gift Card. If you reside in one of these states, you can obtain a refund provided that the original balance on the Card has not changed.
Gift Cards issued by GE Capital Retail Bank are not available for sale in Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Vermont, Massachusetts, or New York. Residents of these states will not be able to register the Gift Card. If you reside in one of these states, you can obtain a refund provided that the original balance on the Card has not changed.

Some merchants may require that you register your Card at www.walmartgift.com prior to making an internet, mail, or phone order purchase. The information you provide during registration must be the same as the information you provide to the merchant, otherwise your transaction may be declined.
To purchase an item that costs more than the balance of your Card, you must provide a second payment method – such as cash, check or credit card – to pay for the difference. Let the cashier know in advance how much you would like to pay with each type of payment. Not all merchants will accept two forms of payment.
Yes, but you must pay inside the Gas Station. You cannot use your Card to pay at the pump.

If the Walmart Visa Gift Card was purchased after April 1st, 2013, your PIN is the last four digits of your Card number. However, there is no ATM access, and no cash back. If the Walmart Visa Gift Card was purchased before April 1st, 2013, it does not have a PIN number and cannot be used at locations that require the use of a PIN.
Certain merchants may ask us to authorize the transaction in advance and may estimate the final value. For example, a restaurant may ask us to authorize a payment 20% above your total bill to cover any tip amount. The actual amount you pay will not exceed the amount of the bill plus the tip added by you (the tip amount is at your discretion). The initial authorization will remain on your Card until the actual transaction is posted to your Card, which can take up to 10 days.
If your Card is declined, you should check your balance either at www.walmartgift.com or by calling us at 1-866-633-9096.
If you have sufficient funds remaining on your Card, please consider that the merchant may be adding a tip or some other amount to the transaction total. You may ask the merchant to authorize a specific dollar amount, but the merchant may not agree to your request. Additionally, please remember that your Card cannot be used for cash withdrawals, gambling, recurring payments, or paying at the gas pump.

Return the item to the merchant you originally purchased it from. The merchant should post a credit to your Gift Card.
You can request a replacement Card online at www.walmartgift.com or by calling us at 1-866-633-9096.
If you believe your Card has been lost or stolen, report it on-line at www.walmartgift.com or call us at 1-866-633-9096 as soon as possible. You must have the Card number, 3 digit security code and expiration date to report your Card lost or stolen.

If you provide this information orally, we may require that you send your complaint or question in writing within ten (10) business days of the date of the transaction in error.
Once your written dispute has been received, we will determine whether an error occurred within thirty (30) business days after we hear from you and will correct any error promptly. If we need more time, however, we may take up to forty five (45) days to investigate your complaint or question. If we decide to do this, we will notify you verbally or in writing. If we ask you to put your complaint or question in writing and you do not provide it within ten (10) business days of the date of the transaction in error, we may not credit your Card.
We will tell you the results within three (3) business days after completing the investigation. If we decide that there was no error, we will send you a written explanation. Copies of the documents used in the investigation may be obtained by contacting us at the phone number or address listed at the beginning of this section.

The Walmart Visa Gift Card comes in various fixed denominations and variable denominations between $25-$500.

Once all of the funds on the Card have been spent, the Card cannot be used for other purchases. If you are sure you will not return any products purchased with the Gift Card, we recommend you safely destroy the Card.
Your Card number is the 16 digit number located on the front of your Card.
Your Security Code is the three digit number located on the signature panel on the back of your Card. It is also sometimes referred to as a CVV number.
